Half spheres are great for filling vases and urns - they provide fullness and roundness without the need for a full ball.  Not only do they fit better, but they also don't waste product.  

This one has short, dark green balsam fir pieces tucked into a foam half-ball. Red, semi-glossy berries and miniature pinecones are dotted throughout.  The foam ball is pierceable, so additional floral sprays can be added if desired.
