
14" 3D Waterproof Butterfly Kit: Chinoiserie Blue
Waterproof, lightweight and also: 3D! This butterfly is designed to make an impact with large wings that sit in a V-shape, adding delightful dimension to any project. The kit ships flat and can be assembled easily and quickly (see directions below). The backplate has four pre-drilled holes that make attaching the butterfly to projects a snap with floral wire or chenille pipe cleaners.
We love the simple elegance of the blue and white floral printed wings combined with a solid, periwinkle blue body.
- Assembled wingspan: 13.75"
- Each wing is about 11.75" tall and 7.75" wide
- Body is 10.5" tall
- Assembled depth is about 3.5"
Directions for assembly:
- Turn backplate upright (denoted as "Top" on the backplate itself)
- Snap off the riser and set aside for later
- Insert right wing into the four square holes labeled as such on the backplate, popping out the squares
- Repeat with left wing and allow the teeth of the two wings to interlace
- Spread open the wings
- Place hot glue on the front of the backplate, between the wings and secure the riser
- Place hot glue on the riser and secure the body
- Assembly is complete - hot glue may be added to the teeth for further security
