This stem is long, slender and  wired throughout.  Its sheath is lightly flocked, giving it a velvety look and rendering its shade sage green.  It divides into three sections, two with fully open orange poppy flowers and one with an orange poppy bud. The silk petals contrast with their dark, textured centers.

• About 20" long from the bottom fork to the tip of the bud
