Flowering quince is a harbinger of spring, since it is one of the first things to bloom.  Its sturdy branches fill with flowers before leafing out, and our artificial version represents that stage of growth. The brown, wired branch is leafless and dotted with flowers of various sizes.  Some are yellow silk and some are cherry red and pink silk.  Their centers are plastic.
